Eco Friendly Green Workstation Furniture
The Total Office LLC Abu Dhabi, recently gained the distinction of become the first facility to be awarded the “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” (LEED) certificate for commercial interiors by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in consultation with Energy Management Services International (EMS). LEED, which is an internationally acclaimed eco-friendly building certification system, offers third-party verification of “green” building design and performance. The certification, which is developed by U.S. Green Building Council, employs a rating system for design, layout, construction, furnishing, and eco friendly furniture being used in a building and measures green metrics such as: energy and water efficiency, reduction of CO2 emissions, stewardship of resources, improved indoor environmental quality, green furniture and impact sensitivity of the project. In other words LEED serves as a form of quality assurance that evaluates how well a building is constructed, designed and fitted with eco friendly furniture in accordance with the prevailing environmental standards.
