The Vad chair, conceptualized by Italian designer Luca Nichetto, takes its name from the abbreviation for the town of Vadstena, an evocative seaside village in Sweden situated on the banks of Lak Vattern. The landscape that encompasses
this beautiful Sweedish town is punctuated by lakes, forests and green expanses, charecteristics which lend themselves generously to the morphology of this chair. It is likely that the village's natural elements were also taken into consideration by its first ruler, King Vasa.
Nichetto describes his design as "born from an attentive mix of Nordic-Latin culture and creativity, where the combination of ecology, material research, functionality and style create a modern and versatile product".
